On 10th March 2025, social media platform X experienced multiple outages, which owner Elon Musk attributed to a “massive cyberattack.”

“We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved,” Musk stated in a post on X.

Later that day, appearing on Fox Business’ “Kudlow,” Musk expanded on his claim, suggesting that the attack may have originated from Ukraine.

“Well, we’re not sure exactly what happened, but there was a massive cyberattack to try to bring down the X system, with IP addresses originating in the Ukraine area,” he said.

While details remain unclear, Musk’s comments raise speculation about potential geopolitical ties to the attack. Meanwhile, X has not provided further official statements on the cause of the outages.
